We should not have to even debate it. Who know my suffering & pain better than me? There should be no stigma associated w/the choice end one's life on one's own terms. Let us, please, as a society, & as humans, allow ourselves to make this choice freely, & without condemnation. It is time; it is past time. Let us no longer force our fellow human beings to suffer needlessly, when they know it is time for the end. We cannot truly call ourselves a civilized society until we allow those who know they are ready to die, choose the time & the method. We are not strenghthened by being forced to suffer; we are only, all of us, diminished. My life, my death, my choice. We should not have to even debate it.
