Agree with articles thoughts. Nicely put.

(And comments by Hanrod are completely out of line and am surprised they were let standing. Amazing how misanthropes project their own hatred and see others as the the hateful ones.)

It would be criminal for a physician to stop a treatment or administer a drug if he knows that will end the patient's life, unless he has the informed consent of the patient or next of kin. And if he cannot admit that his action will have such an effect, he can hardly inform the patient or relative properly. Surely the Georgia law is as unconstitutional as the gag orders that once prohibited doctors from discussing abortions with patients who had an unwanted pregnancy.

Unfortunately it is even more than that that drives these morbid, often fanatical, religious misanthropes. That disgusting organization, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, HONORS and encourages suffering, as part of the path to some kind of silly fantasy of redemption of human "sin", with which they think every human baby is born. Talk about sick! Apparently the Catholic Church must thus attack abortion and birth control only for the reason that they want more people to be born, to suffer and be "redeemed" -- after years of contributing to the Catholic church, of course. We need not, and should not, feel we need to pull our punches or be politically correct with these folks, many of whose church members do not particularly agree with them at any rate. Religious extremists, whether Catholic, Christian or Muslim, must be marginalized, if we can't change or destroy their beliefs. As a start, we had best begin getting serious about the separation of church and state.

Terrible. I live in Georgia.

I wrote the governor asking him to veto this bill.

Now I'll write to my representatives asking them not to vote for things like this.
