| Compassion & Choices Idaho Chapter (located in scenic Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) started in 2004, after many of us had attended meetings in the Eastern Washington Chapter in Spokane for several years. We realized that we kept seeing other people from Idaho at all of the meetings and with their encouragement, and a lot of assistance from the National office, began our own group. In less than two years we have over 150 members in Idaho and eastern Washington.
Our six member board arranges the five chapter meetings each year where there are programs on various aspects dealing with the end of life. We have had, or shortly will have, programs addressing advance directives and other legal issues, options available with Hospice and other types of medical care, and a forum to which all of the Legislators from the five northern counties of Idaho have been invited.
