Imagine gathering physicians, social workers, nurses, attorneys and advocates from around the world to share their perspectives on end-of-life care and alert each other to aspects of the problem rarely discussed. In October the Dignity & Choices symposium at the National Press Club offered sessions with policy, medical, legal and religious leaders including Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, former National Cancer Society chief Dr. Elmer Huerta and Jane Brody, health columnist with the New York Times.
