Colorado

Compassion & Choices Colorado works with like-minded organizations to expand end-of-life care and choice.
We passed Colorado SB 102, which granted immunity to medical caregivers who unintentionally cause the death of a terminally ill patient as the result of efforts to relieve the patient’s pain.
A representative from Compassion & Choices Colorado serves as a delegate on the Colorado Advance Directive Consortium. This group helped pass a law condensing advance directives and DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) orders into a one-page, two-sided transportable document. That document can easily move from one facility to another to be quickly reviewed by healthcare providers.
