Compassion & Choices Iowa was formed in 2003 and offers public education presentations on end-of-life issues as well as periodic member meetings in different locations including Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport. The chapter also distributes information at public events such as fairs and conferences. Volunteers are always welcome, no matter where they live in Iowa.

Our board has been working on a strategy to locate like-minded people regarding expanding end-of-life choice in Iowa. We know from nationwide polling that the majority of citizens want the option of a peaceful death if they are terminally ill and suffering.
