Compassion & Choices needs your support to move two important bills to a hearing: one to allow the terminally ill to choose a peaceful death, and a Health Care Consumer Protection Act to ensure care provided matches what an individual wants. Both bills have been assigned to the Public Health Committee. Contact our Massachusetts campaign manager (see below) to learn more and support these bills.

There is enormous support in Massachusetts to expand end-of-life choice. A majority of voters favored a Yes vote on the Death with Dignity question in November until an onslaught of ads raised baseless fears about the proposed law.

Compassion & Choices forged a strong coalition of volunteers, donors and staff that took the race down to the wire. Their amazing efforts kept the margin extremely close despite the millions spent by opponents. That commitment and our analysis of strength in the state helped to inform our decision to launch a legislative campaign.
