This position is primarily responsible for designing and producing the visual elements of Compassion & Choices’ organization communications vehicles, including: C&C Magazine (quarterly), newsletter (monthly), Annual Report, social media infographics, memes and other shareable content, campaign collaterals (fliers, ads, placards), marketing and program brochures, and other approved materials. He/she will archive C&C photos and other visual assets.
Responsible for effectively building and growing the national Compassion & Choices campaigns and for successfully moving federal work on improving care and expanding choice at the end of life. The Director will develop a “Center” that will unify current programs and campaigns and provide a home to new programs developed. This position is responsible for interfacing with the public, national stakeholders, agencies and elected officials. Internally, this position is responsible for driving the campaign work and utilizing all necessary individuals and departments in order to successfully achieve campaign goals.
Provide services and direction to Compassion & Choices Vermont (CCV), consistent with the mission of Compassion & Choices. Oversee the activities of CCV to ensure that they are consistent with Compassion & Choices programs and policies. Represent the organization to the community on a state-wide basis. Operate under the direction of National Policy and Advocacy Director of Compassion & Choices and work in close collaboration with local leaders and an on-the-ground lobbying firm.
Build a coalition of like minded organizations and supporters to pass the NJ Death with Dignity Act. Supervise a campaign team comprised of part-time media consultants, lobbyists, African American Outreach and a full time field organizer. Oversee the activities of the campaign to ensure that they are consistent with Compassion & Choices programs and policies. Represent the organization to the community on a state-wide basis. Operate under the direct direction of Regional Campaign & Outreach Manager
