Online Communications Manager
Will develop and implement Compassion & Choices’ online engagement, visibility and marketing strategies to build our supporter and donor base and drive advocacy objectives. S/he will develop the digital component of the organization’s communications and marketing plan. Goals include expanding the CompassionandChoices.org online community, Compassion & Choices Action Network, social media presence, and all other national online organizing, marketing and community-building channels. The manager is also responsible for creating and implementing strategies for lifting brand visibility and awareness in electronic media, increasing the e-newsletter/action alert subscription base, electronically engaging supporters in online actions and converting supporters into members and donors. The ideal candidate is an energetic communications pro who can supervise and coordinate design, content management, social media, online marketing, writing and editing for the web among a team of staff and vendors.
Los Angeles Area Development Manager
The L.A. Area Development Manager oversees the implementation of the national Compassion & Choices development program within the L.A. area, focused on donor relationships and events. This field-based development officer oversees a program of donor relationship management and fundraising for Compassion & Choices. The position will be 2/3 focused on a prospect portfolio of middle and major donors and 1/3 development duties. At least 3 years of fundraising experience within an issue-based organization and a BA or BS in non-profit or business management, communications, sales, marketing, or equivalent required.
Portland Administrative Services Generalist
This position exists to support the administrative demands within the Compassion & Choices organization and is a part-time position. The ideal candidate will possess traits, skills and abilities to provide assistance to a variety of departments and personnel across multiple functions and levels. He or she should be willing and able to learn through a variety of methods and modes and be able to think critically about the efficiencies and effectiveness of processes and workflows. A high degree of confidentiality is a must!
State Director
Will provide services and direction to Compassion & Choices of Oregon (CCO), consistent with the mission of Compassion & Choices. Oversee the activities of CCO to ensure that they are consistent with Compassion & Choices programs and policies. Represent the organization to the community on a state-wide basis and operate under the direction of National Field Director of Compassion & Choices in collaboration with the CCO Leadership Advisory Committee.
