2014 has been a remarkable year — a time of seismic shift in our movement’s history. 2014 was a real turning point in our movement. It is when the momentum built, and the tide turned. And the opportunity is now.
Inspired by the strength of Brittany Maynard, a 29-year-old woman who fought to her last breath for expanded availability of death with dignity, our movement is bigger, stronger and more visible than ever before.
Your support gives us the strength to make dramatic change, in 2015 and beyond. Brittany showed us that change starts with the actions of one person. Help us honor Brittany’s courage and ensure that others will know and have access to all end-of-life options.
Our message is simple: Every person deserves end-of-life choice and options.
Over the past year, our movement has achieved unprecedented progress and ignited nationwide attention. From our victories in New Mexico and New Jersey to the countless advocates who courageously navigated the end-of-life healthcare system for their loved ones, 2014 is a year to be proud of and celebrated.
Change is happening. But change is never easy. We must continue to push forward.
I’m heartened by how much we’ve accomplished together and certain we’re on the cusp of even more tremendous progress for end-of-life care and liberty in our nation.
And with your continued help, we’ll reach new heights in 2015.
Thank you for all you’ve done to bring us to this moment. Our best days are certainly ahead of us.
