Archbishop Tutu Speaks About Medical Aid in Dying

Nobel Peace laureate Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has dedicated his career to advocating for human rights. Two years ago, he announced the reversal of his lifelong opposition to assisted dying in an op-ed published in The Guardian. But he was more ambiguous about whether he personally wanted the option, writing: “I would say I wouldn’t mind.” Today, he writes in The Washington Post, he feels “compelled to lend my voice to this cause.” He recently sat down with our friends at Dignity in Dying in the United Kingdom to share his thoughts on this important issue.  Please watch and share the video so more people can hear Archbishop Tutu’s words.
