Compassion & Choices is committed to empowering people to get the care they want during a serious illness or at the end of life. One way we do that is by helping people plan well and become good advocates for themselves and their loved ones.

On January 5, 2024, Senator Victor M. Torres, Jr. introduced a medical aid-in-dying bill (SB 1642). Representative Daryl Campbell introduced the House version of the bill (HB 561). More information about the bill can be found here.

Compassion & Choices provides tools and resources to help you and your loved ones Finish Strong by planning for an end-of-life experience that matches the life we’ve enjoyed—defined by love, purpose and agency.  Visit our Plan Your Care Resource Center to find more than two dozen resources to help plan for end of life.
