Faced with a terminal diagnosis, New Hampshire residents deserve the full range of options for care at the end of life, including medical aid in dying. Medical aid in dying allows terminally ill adults to get a prescription they can take to end their life peacefully.

HB 1283, carried over from the 2023 session, is actively moving through the legislative process.
Most recently, the bill passed the House floor and moved to the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services (April 24, 2024). We are awaiting a Senate Committee vote.

The New Hampshire Alliance for End of Life Options is a grassroots organization committed to education and advocacy in the service of better end-of-life experiences for all New Hampshire people.
