Virginians deserve the full range of options for care at the end of life – including medical aid in dying, which allows terminally ill adults to get a prescription they can take to end their life peacefully.

SB930 was introduced for the 2023 legislative session. On January 20, the Subcommittee on Health Professions met and discussed the bill. However, it did not make it out of the subcommittee and will not advance this year.
