Ken Mintzer is the chief development officer at Compassion & Choices. Ken brings decades of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development and strategic planning with an expertise in cultivating relationships with philanthropists and community members.
Most recently, Ken served as the institutional advancement officer and interim chief development officer at Gladstone, where he managed a five-year $35 million fundraising campaign for the Center for HIV and Aging. Prior to joining Gladstone, he served as associate director of development at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he launched a corporate alliance program and generated partnerships with companies nationwide. Ken also served as vice president for development at the City of Hope, a comprehensive-care cancer center in Los Angeles, managing a $25 million fundraising campaign and supervising a 25-member staff. Mr. Mintzer earned two degrees in social work, including a bachelor’s from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
