The Northampton City Council voted unanimously (9-0) to endorse medical aid in dying. The council passed a resolution that calls on state lawmakers to pass the End of Life Options Act! This resolution will be sent to Northampton’s lawmakers in the state legislature, including the Speaker of the House, the Senate President and the Governor.
Many thanks to the hard work of volunteers in Northampton who worked with other supporters, meeting and talking with City Council members to help them understand the importance of medical aid in dying. Northampton is the third jurisdiction in Massachusetts to pass a resolution like this, and with your help, it won’t be the last.
