Tell the legislature: Support the End-of-Life Option Act

The Minnesota End-of-Life Option Act was introduced this week by Sen. Chris Eaton and Rep. Mike Freiberg.

Modeled after Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act, the bill authorizes terminally ill adults of sound mind to ask for and receive medication for a peaceful death should their suffering become unbearable.

Now that the new bill has been introduced in the House and Senate, lawmakers need to hear from you.

Use our quick and easy tool to tell your lawmakers to support the End-of-Life Option Act.

Support the End-of-Life Option Act
As a constituent, I'm urging you to support the End-of-Life Option Act.
Residents in six states and Washington D.C. now have access to medical aid in dying so that terminally ill adults of sound mind may ask for and receive prescription medication they may self-administer for a peaceful death should their suffering become unbearable. Minnesotans deserve the same freedom to make our own end-of-life decisions.

Please do not believe the scare tactics from opponents. With more than 30 years of data and experience from hundreds of doctors in five states, we know that medical aid in dying is a safe, well-established health care option that provides comfort and control to dying individuals in their final days.

Can I count on you to help advance the End-of-Life Option Act? I look forward to hearing from you.
