New York lawmakers are considering a bill that would authorize medical aid in dying in the Empire State, and they need to hear from supporters like you.
The Medical Aid in Dying Act (A.2383/S.3151) would allow a terminally ill, mentally capable adult to request life-ending medication from a doctor that the person can self-administer at a time of his or her choosing, or never, should suffering become unbearable.
New Yorkers should be free to choose how they live – and when the time comes, how they die. This private, personal decision should belong to all of us – free from government interference.
