Rabia Shirazi is an award-winning public affairs and campaign strategist. She carries a torch for social justice and spent seven years in newsrooms across the globe as an investigative reporter and new writer. When an assignment led her to look deeply into human rights violations in the Aboriginal communities of New South Wales, she left the newsroom to found a state-wide program aimed to reverse the injustices and launched an aggressive outreach campaign that resulted in new government-funded programs and policies for the Aboriginal communities. Rabia went on to found Realize Ink LLC, a boutique strategic public affairs and marketing firm, and The Do Good Lab collaborative, and has worked exclusively with change-makers on behavior and policy change, focusing on integrated engagement and marketing campaigns ever since. Her career includes key roles on some of the most visible campaigns and communications initiatives in the U.S., Africa, India, and Australia, and her efforts have been credited with influencing the passage of 18 pieces of legislation worldwide and raising $7 million in charitable donations. Rabia is a frequent speaker and trainer on strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications, and spokesperson training. She holds an MA in Journalism and a Graduate Diploma in International Law and Policy.
