Compassion & Choices volunteers and staff are working overtime to advance legislation to authorize aid in dying in Maryland. The Richard E. Israel and Roger “Pip” Moyer Death with Dignity Act is now House Bill 1021 and Senate Bill 676. Now is the time for Marylanders to turn out and show their support!

Volunteer teams across the state are in high gear preparing for a March 4th Citizen Lobby Day, and C&C encourages supporters to come and meet with their representatives in Annapolis. If you can attend, please let us know by sending an RSVP E-mail to this E-mail address: [email protected].

Save these dates, too:
A hearing for HB 1021 in the House Judiciary & Health and Government Operations Committees on Friday March 6th at 1:30 PM Eastern.
A hearing for SB 676 in the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee on Tuesday March 10th at 1:00 PM Eastern.

In the meantime, click the blue box in the upper right corner of this page to personalize a letter to your state lawmakers telling them to support the Death With Dignity Act. Phone calls are even more powerful, so find your elected representatives’ contact information here.
