Director of Legal Affairs

Responsible for tactical development and day-to-day management of the legal advocacy program and the conduct of legal actions for the purpose of social impact. This includes integration and interface between legal program and communications, field and legislative advocacy and end-of-life resources. The Director of Legal Affairs serves on the Program Management Team (PMT), participates in organizational planning across program areas and initiates litigation and other major projects with the consensus approval of PMT.

Director of Development

Oversees all aspects of fundraising and membership for Compassion & Choices and the Compassion & Choices Action Network. S/he exemplifies the best qualities of Compassion & Choices and reflects the highest standards of enthusiastic personal and professional fund-raising conduct, and will grow a national development/membership structure and pursue income-producing programs (with a robust emphasis on special $100,000+, major and planned gifts) that sustain and aggressively advance a multi-million dollar annual budget.

Development Manager – San Francisco Bay Area

Oversees the implementation of the national Compassion & Choices development program within the S.F. Bay Area, focused on donor relationships and events. This position exemplifies the highest standards of personal and professional fund-raising conduct and partnership

End of Life Consultation Manager – Oregon

Responsible for managing volunteer development and client case management in the Oregon area within the End-of-Life Consultation Program.  This position requires a strong commitment to the Death with Dignity movement, strict adherence to the Oregon’s Death with Dignity law, and the ability to work with issues of serious illness and dying.

End of Life Consultation (EOLC) Consultant

Primarily responsible for telephone intake and assessment of calls from general population seeking information and options about end-of-life issues.  Consultants will manage client caseload in non-focus states, and refer clients to End-of-Life Care Managers in our focus states.

Compliance Specialist

Primarily responsible for organization insurance policy review & renewal, monitoring trademark usage, lobbying reports, charitable gift annuity filings, document retention and destruction policy, and annual business filings.

Communications and Marketing Intern

Support Communications and Marketing Director and Media Relations Manager in Washington, DC, and learn from their decades of experience promoting civil and human rights causes.
