Compassion & Choices was honored to sponsor and provide a presence at the 11th annual Black History Month Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. The February 12th event drew close to 3,000 attendees and featured music, art, soul food, photography exhibits, cooking demos, presentations and more.

National Director of Constituency Brandi Alexander and Southwest Regional Campaign Manager Sam DeWitt represented Compassion & Choices at the event and provided people with a selection of our planning materials. “We had good conversations with many folks about the importance of planning for the end of life, and encouraged them to talk to their family members about their choices,” said DeWitt.

The 11th annual event also attracted local officials as well as appearances from two presidential hopefuls, former Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar.
