Compassion & Choices is supporting the End-of-Life Option Act (SB 128) introduced in the California Legislature in January. The legislation, coauthored by Senator Lois Wolk and Senator Bill Monning, would allow terminally ill Californians to request a medication to bring about a peaceful death if their suffering becomes unbearable.  See how you can get involved.

Press Conference and Senate Hearing Resources

The End of Life Option Act has been referred to both the Health and Judiciary committees. The first hearing on the bill before the Senate Health Committee is scheduled for Wed., March 25. That makes this date a crucial moment in the campaign — a moment in which you can make a difference. Click here to view the press conference and hearing, and find tools to take action.
