History

Aid-in-dying legislation has been introduced to the Wisconsin Legislature eight times in the last 20 years. In March 2015, two aid-in-dying measures, SB 26 and AB 67, were introduced in the Senate and Assembly. Senator Fred Risser (D-Madison) and four co-sponsors introduced SB 26 in the Senate. Representatives Sondy Pope (D-80th District), Dianne Hesselbein (D-79th District) and twelve co-sponsors introduced AB 67 in the Assembly.
